Wheel of words – emotions

I haven’t found a source for this wheel even though it is widespread. Please let me know in a comment if you know who the author is. Thanks!

At the schools, we’ve talked about the kids’ growing “emotional keyboard,” and our role as mentors in teaching the kids how to express themselves. This wheel might be a great tool to use to help your mentee put words on their feelings, if you think it’s necessary. If they don’t understand the words, you can look them up together. This is particularly helpful for older kids (cycle 3).

For younger kids, I recommend using the approach in the “emotion word bank” document you can find in this link.
